Rowan Haring (B. 2000) identity is rooted in the intersection between architecture, furniture making and experimental design. Through his background in both spatial design and hands-on fabrication, he\u00a0 developed a practice that combines conceptual thinking with practical execution. Through experimentation with traditional craftsmanship, new materials, and contemporary production methods, he critically examines the systems and processes that shape our material environment. Furniture serves as a medium for these investigations, allowing him to explore how materials can acquire new meanings through transformation and use.
As a designer with a\u00a0 background in architecture and experience working for experimental designer Joris Laarman, he is\u00a0 drawn to the tension between control and chance, particularly the moment when the material begins to guide the outcome rather than simply respond to intention. Each object reveals the conditions of its making, carrying traces of the decisions, constraints, and possibilities embedded within the process. In this way, the work becomes both an exploration of material behavior and a reflection on how meaning is generated through production.<\/p>
